ZRT® Matrix Therapy - Indications and Applications

The ZRT® Matrix Therapy is a therapeutic method, developed by Dr. B. Dickreiter, based on a set of techniques which were already established in the former USSR and Eastern Germany as a form of physiotherapy for athletes. It was found that athletes treated with ZRT® Matrix Therapy experienced great benefits in recovery following training and competition. Their rate of injury decreased, especially in the muscles and tendons (the “musculoskeletal system”).

Clinical Indications for Matrix Therapy

  • Non specific chronic back and neck pain
  • Nerve compression syndrome after disc herniation
  • Frozen Shoulder Syndrome (Adhesive Capsulitis)
  • Calcific shoulder
  • RSI ("Repetitive Strain Injury")
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Achilles tendon (Achilles tendonitis)
  • Heel spurs
  • Preparation for a knee prosthesis operation
  • Preparation for a hip prosthesis operation
  • Pain management following a total hip replacement Syndromes
  • Chronic muscle pain and stiffness
  • Chronic pain syndromes following prosthetic surgery
  • Dystrophy and myositis
  • Fatigue Syndrome
