What fascinates me about my speciality, neurosurgery, is that I consider the person as a whole along with all the complex relationships in the body. A treatment will only be effective if you get to the very bottom of the pain and determine the cause. I will gladly take the time to get to know my patients, understand about their daily life and their work situation, and to learn the details about their afflictions which brought them to me.
It's extremely important to me that every patient feels I take them seriously. I can often point people who are disappointed with ineffective procedures and treatments in a new direction. I encourage patients having pain not to suffer for years. They should come to the office immideately. If patients wait too long, treatment options for wear and chronic conditions are already limited.
I work hand in hand with my colleagues at Gelenk-Klinik, often developing concepts together to ensure a sensible and successful treatment. Conservative and joint-preserving options are extremely important to us. However, if surgery is necessary, my years of experience in the safety of surgery to the nervous system (neuromonitoring) can allay the patient's quite understandable fears.
